Hannah Sanderson.

Hannah Sanderson is a humanitarian and development consultant with 15 years of international experience, combining programme quality leadership and technical advisory roles with evaluation and independent strategic consultancy.
Her work has taken her from individual programmes and country responses to regional and global advisory roles — and across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. This gives her a perspective that moves between what happens in practice, how organisations work, and the wider systems and contexts shaping both.
She specialises in assignments that require different sources of evidence and perspectives to be brought together, assumptions to be critically examined, and complexity translated into clear strategic choices and practical products.

Experience grounded in practice
Hannah's experience spans humanitarian response, longer-term development, programme and organisational leadership, global technical advisory work, and independent consultancy.
She has worked at programme, country, regional, and global levels, giving her experience of both developing organisational approaches and applying them within complex programmes and contexts.
Her work has covered strategy and programme design, evaluation and review, systems thinking, programme quality, organisational change, evidence and learning, and facilitated strategic processes.
This breadth brings together practical experience of implementation and organisational change with the independence to step back, question assumptions, and examine a problem from different perspectives.
Independent consultancy.
Thoughtful collaboration.
Hannah has an established independent consultancy practice, undertaking evaluation, strategic review and design, systems analysis, and organisational quality and change assignments.
This work is now brought together under Plural Ground.
Assignments can be undertaken independently or in collaboration with trusted organisations and specialists where complementary expertise, perspectives, or additional capacity strengthen the work.
This includes an established collaboration with NSDation across humanitarian and development evaluation assignments.
